GrantYard

GrantYard is a funding opportunity discovery platform designed to make startup funding information easier to search, scan, and evaluate. The platform aggregates opportunities from official sources and presents them through a structured, data-focused interface where users can search and filter opportunities, compare funding amounts and deadlines, identify open or closing programs, and access dedicated detail pages for each opportunity. I worked on the frontend of the main web application using Next.js, focusing on translating a data-heavy product into a clean, responsive, and easy-to-navigate user experience.

The main frontend challenge was presenting a large and continuously changing dataset without overwhelming users. Funding opportunities contain multiple pieces of information—including issuer, funding type, region, amount, status, deadline, and verification state—which needed to remain highly scannable. The interface also needed to support filtering, sorting, pagination, opportunity detail pages, status indicators, and continuously updated content while maintaining a consistent experience across different screen sizes.

I developed the frontend using Next.js with a reusable and structured component architecture. The interface was designed around clear information hierarchy, allowing users to quickly distinguish important data such as funding type, amount, deadline, issuer, region, and opportunity status. Search, filtering, sorting, pagination, latest opportunities, and individual opportunity pages were presented through consistent UI patterns, creating a responsive experience capable of handling a growing funding database while keeping navigation simple and efficient.
